Hi Andrew, I have 2 question about aluminium box and Master Clock Driscoll oscillator/ Doubler

1.Do the box should be airtight for prevent EMI, NOISE

2.When putting the Master Clock Driscoll oscillator/ Doubler in the box, I see that: there’s a contact between the aluminium box\case with outer surface of the power plug and at the same time, with the shield of the SMA connector. It mean that, there is a short circuit between 0 volt pole on power plug and shield layer of the SMA cable. Any problem with this, Do we need to make the hole for power plug big enough so that the outer surface of the power plug will not contact with the auminium box ?

        Tks Andrew

          1. All surfaces of the aluminum box should be in contact with each other to prevent EMI/RFI.
Since the box is anodized you have to scratch a little the surfaces to get better contact.

          2. It’s not a problem since the grounds of the power plug and SMA are at the same potential.
