A basic question, but …
just to be on a safe side, in a typical scenatio, given a widely used stock schematic, where XTAL is connected alongside with two capacitors (see pic),
how does one properly replace stock XTAL, and where & howto inject our upgraded low noise signal our oscillator? (for example using Pierce pico gate oscillator)

Can you write up some simple gerenal instruction, please?
If we need to remove old capacitors also, check signal levels with oscilloscope, add resistors anywhere etc.
Maybe in P.S. throw in some ‘nice to have’ advices, that are not mandatory, but would improve signal integrity, like adding shunts etc. etc.
